The summer is much warmer, with temperatures in the high 70s and less rainfall.
Though the city does not get snow, it does get a high amount of rain during these seasons, and temperatures that can drop below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. If you visit during the spring, winter, or fall, you need a warm coat and an umbrella. You can use the sign to look for rental cars from the airport. Seattle uses a grid system for its roads, which makes finding your hotel easy if you drive. The light rail system drops passengers directly at some of the top hotels in the downtown area.
The buses and light rails only cost a few dollars, and you can visit the sales counter at any station to purchase tickets for your trip. When you need to reach your hotel quickly, head for the public transportation system, which consists of Sound Transit and Metro Transit. It's just a short drive from the airport to downtown. The South Satellite Terminal specializes in international flights. Though the airport has three terminals, only the Concourse Terminal and North Satellite Terminal handle domestic flights. Located in SeaTac, Washington, the airport sits along the intersection of three state routes: 99, 518, and 509. Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, and US Airways are a few airlines that operate out of this airport. Also known as Sea-Tac, this airport is responsible for all incoming flights, along with flights from Seattle. The rest left me with a migraine.While Seattle is home to several airports, the only one that handles commercial flights is the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Now, I appreciate the crew who worked very hard to make-up for such an ugly delay on the ground and in baggage and flightbmanagement. BA used to make you feel incredibly fortunate to fly with them. That being said, the seats themselves are plenty comfortable withthe exception of arm rests that do not fully position upright. So many extra inches given to the thirty folks in first and business that commoners get sardine seats across the pond to America.
Everything else was paid.I’m accustomed to that on regionals Euro commuter flights but very surprising on a full-fledged BA plane covering that distance. 2.5 hour flight from Rome to London has terrible service and we had to ask for water to drink. Administratively, based on our 2 weeks of multi-country travel with them, BA seems to have lost the ability to manage themselves. Staff and crew we saw face to face were great to help.though not all customers shared that experience as we witnessed. They Lost our luggage on the way home because of a 2-hour delay (tarmac story above^), because they involved 3 airlines in their efforts to help us connect back home. Had to fly into another COUNTRY, pay for our own hotel room and transfers and got to our final destination a day later, with only crossed fingers BA will take care of some of those expenses or at very least reimburse for the cancelled flight. Cancelled our first flight to London a few hours before we were to leave home and after two hours on the phone, we were instructed to cancel our remaining flights and purchase a connecting flight to our destination ON OUR OWN DIME with the hope BA May reimburse. Sat on tarmac for over 2 hours because no one thought to load luggage of a couple hundred people or de-ice the wings for the sprinkle of snowflakes that terrified London. Cons: "BA used to be one of my three favorite airlines, especially the international.
